Humans are social beings. Our community is not only other humans, it includes the plants, animals, rivers, mountains, stars and understanding our place in the larger universe of things is empowering. Festivals and events foster an experience of connection in a playful environment that allows everyone to feel valued. Living Folklore brings a strong environmental and social ethic to our performances that is heart-centered and educational (but don’t tell the kids that last part). Learning should be fun, and it can also include emotional intelligence. Social skills like empathy, listening, lifting each other up, sharing our innate talents and gifts are all part of the Living Folklore experience. Humor and play are essential elements of healthy individuals and communities!
